Looking for something fun to do today? Check out the Canton Lions Corn Roast!

Celebrate the historic Sweet Corn Capital of Michigan with the Canton Lions Club!

The annual corn roast will run today, Saturday, August 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Preservation Park (500 N Ridge Rd, just north of Cherry Hill Road).

There is no admission for all-you-can-eat roasted corn, hot dogs, baked beans, watermelon, ice cream, cotton candy, snow cones, and beverages but donations are greatly appreciated.

Donations will assist the Canton Lions Club to purchase eyeglasses, hearing aids, and other accessibility devices for those who cannot afford them.

The Canton Historical Society will open their Pole Barn to visitors. There will also be face-painting, a bounce house, balloon-twisting, a petting farm, and more!

Remember that today is also the last day that the Canton Historical Museum will be open before closing to set up its next exhibit. The Museum will re-open on September 9.
